French and Francophone Group of Canine Massage

This group aims to bring together Canine Massage professionals whose sole purpose is the welfare and well being of our four legged friends.

The GFFMC welcomes people who have followed a training course in canine massage in different schools :

"Massage Awareness" " Galen Therapy Centre" "Canine Massotherapy of Quebec" and other massage schools.

The canine massage professional does not diagnose, does not prescribe and does not cure.  However, canine massage  contributes to the well-being of your dog,  relieves muscle and joint aches and pains, it  can aid recovery and can accelerate recovery after some surgeries, it can  be beneficial for the working dog and dogs that practice agility.

The vet  is and  remains your pets  only referent caregiver.

For centuries and right up to the present day, massage remains of the oldest forms of therapy. It has been used throughout history to soothe both the body and mind. For all these years, hands were used for our well-being. In times gone by, our canine friends also enjoyed the benefits of massage.

Though somewhat forgotten in recent centuries, canine massage re-emerged in the United States in the 90s and appeared in Europe in the 2000s.

Canine massage is a series of strokes and techniques, which aim to increase both physical and emotional well-being, as they are interrelated, and  also the overall "health " of our dogs.

This activity is not yet recognised in France.

Massage can be beneficial for all of our dogs :

Big, small, working  (search, rescue, assistance, hunting, dog  ...), sports (agility, oberythm, cani-cross.....), and also for our older dogs, for those who have little activity , for those who have had  a painful past (many of us give treatments to shelter dogs ...).

Finally, we contribute to the wellbeing of those who "are unhappy" often because they pick up on the negativity surrounding their owners, or environment .

This group aims to raise awareness of these professional animal lovers to share and recognize this new activity exclusively related to the well-being of our four-legged friends dogs, cats ...chien-1.jpggffmc-com-qr-droid.png
